Colorful foam sheet (usually made from EVA foam sheet) in the form of Malay traditional designs are very popular in Malaysian who want to decorate their homes.

A distributor of MOR Rubber & Plastic Tech , director of Sincraft Sdn Bhd said the foam sheets, made from ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA), are ideal as decorations. They have become a hit with many customers.

She added that the EVA foam sheets are made in China first and then redesign and was cut locally and it was the first time they were introduced as decorations for Hari Raya.

“We are looking to develop more design, we have also come up with the idea of ​​wrapping and adding artificial flowers and ketchup ribbon to make it look more sophisticated.”
“Many customers were surprised by the results and bought them to hang from the ceiling of their offices and commercial premises,” she said, adding that EVA foam sheet is generally used to make artificial flowers and toys.

It cost RM3.50 per colorful foam sheet while the decorative pieces designed by Wong and personnel costs up to RM15 each.
